ACT Policing has renewed its appeal for witnesses to the aggravated robbery in Higgins earlier this week after receiving new information about the car driven by the offender.
Around 10:30am on Monday (November 12), a man, armed with a knife, entered Food Works at Higgins and threatened a staff member, demanding cash.
The man left the store with a sum of cash, and was seen driving away in a white late 70s or early 80s model hatchback, believed to be a Mitsubishi Colt.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 6’3” (190cm) tall, short light brown hair and a moustache. His haircut was unusually cut in a semi-mullet style, with shaven sides.
The man was wearing a light green high visibility shirt which had a black logo above the left breast pocket.
Police are keen to speak with anyone who recognises the logo on the man’s shirt, or anyone with information on the car used by the man.
Witnesses to the aggravated robbery in Higgins on Monday who are yet to speak to police are also asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided confidentially.
