ACT Policing is seeking witnesses who may have seen a large group of people, mostly men, gathered in a Canberra car park shortly before the attack on the Syrian embassy earlier this month (Saturday, February 4).

Police believe this group of men, gathered near the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge around 9pm, may have been involved in the attack later that evening.

The attack on the embassy, which occurred around 9.30pm, caused extensive damage to the embassy’s ground floor including smashed windows and damage to the front door.

Police would urge anyone that may have seen this group of men gathered near the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge on Saturday, February 4, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

And then you need to ask yourself if you want to be giving aid and succour to the Butchers of Homs.

Love them or hate them they are the legal Government.. for now..

Didn’t the neighbours notice anything ? or did they reckon it was just a normal rowdy ACT Satty night BBQ and pissup.

I assume that the Syrian Embassy has release all the CCTV footage they most certainly have to the Police?

Why haven’t the police checked out the camera on the Hume Highway at Marulan? This is how they tracked down the killers of “Saudi Bill” about 15 years ago. It has already been reported that the people that did over the Syrian Embassy drove down from Sydney and back on the day. Sounds to me as if they want this incident to pass without any action.

Thanks detective.

It’s never been a problem for us before!
