It’s that time again, for you to let the rest of us know what’s on where and when.

So besides the Turner to Monet exhibition opening today at the NGA and tonight’s Brumbies game against the Hurricanes what are the picks of this weekend’s activities in and around canberra?

Brumbies vs Highlanders, Canberra Stadium 7:30 tonight (Friday). Bull Allen might have retired years ago but the Hurricanes are still worth seeing. Go Brumbies!

lemme guess for ya. Start driving at 6pm, in order to find a parking spot (most will already be taken but you may get lucky)

By 7pm, you should have found a spot big enough to throw down a blanket, thats not in a direct line of traffic

By 8pm the parents of kiddies will be frantically signalling whoever is in charge to hurry the fuck up.

10pm absolutely everybody is still trying to get home, apart from the lucky few who saw the fireworks from their rear view mirror.

I haven’t looked at the timeline for Skyfire, but thats a short summary of what will actually happen.

Does anyone know what time Skyfire starts? I had a look on the 104.7 site, but can’t see where it says what time it starts. I would rather stick a fork in my eye than listen to 104.7 to find out.

Shannons Wheels at Old Parlimanet House on Sunday 10 -3

Speedway at Fairbairn on Sunday at 10am

Screening of Lights! Canberra! Action! finalist films at the National Museum of Australia, tonight (Friday) at 8pm. Admission is free.
