Look,
I don’t pretend to know what’s happening over there at the RiotACT offices, but I do know that I don’t really care whether I get pictures of bad parking or tales of woe where cyclists and motor vehicles meet on our roads. The annual roasting of the Beer and Meat on a Stick Festival, (pardon the pun), is always entertaining but not essential reading and all the other media outlets cover the Kangaroo cull every year. Present the Mulley cup, or don’t. It was good for a giggle, I suppose, but if you’re busy, I won’t miss it.

No, THE most important post every week on this website is the DIY wotz on guide.
Thias is where I can find out about things that the mainstream media don’t / won’t report on.
I may never attend a celebration of the Foam Sword, or a Fete at Lynham Pre-school, but there are people for whom these things hold an interest. Not the people that I’ll meet at a Tease and Tearaways burlesque night or a Fighting League gig, but that’s the point, isn’t it?

An alternative, comprehensive guide that listed not just music gigs but events and celebrations of all sorts.

Please, please find the time to keep this running.

Good luck, I’ll be checking back in on Friday.

It was quite traumatic and distressing when I took my dog to the vet and had him put down.

At the time I knew in my heart it really was the kindest thing to do for him…no matter how much it hurt me.

Now I look back and think of the great times we had together and am so glad that I let him go when it was best for him and I didn’t let him linger in agony just because I wanted him around.

If you introduce post-posting moderation, and get some volunteers on board, you won’t NEED hindsight. You’ll get it right!

I disagree with Croc – it’s not passive aggressive, it’s just passive.

Though Jazz, I’d say the popular demand would be that it be, you know, at least populated. I mean shit, even the most basic pointer to the Multicultural Festival?

Was here looking for something other than the MF for the kids – the original plan to head to Crookwell Show is hitting the need for revision due to weather.

Ideas welcome.

This is underlining yet again just how much sheer energy and effort Johnboy and Barcham put into their work.

Don’t you think you left things a tad late?

If you had raised this as a possibility with the hive-mind here, then a different outcome could have eventuated.

You didn’t care to ask Jazz. That is disappointing, but predictable.

F I had known how bad things were, i would have donated for the site.

Nice. Passive agressive and also nothing like what people have been asking for.

I think it’s a return to the Do It Yourself in the DIY Wotz On Guide.

Seriously, you could relaunch this site as PeopleInCanberraComplainAboutEverything.com
