Another weekend is upon us, we have another ACT Brumbies game at the stadium in Bruce, hopefully without the rain. The National Arboretum is having their open day (so you can see where all the money is going), plus the Canberra Balloon Spectacular finishes up this weekend at Old Parliament House, but we’re sure there is much more going on in Canberra, so let us know in the comments.

The World Naked Bike Ride is happening in Canberra soon. On the weekend before the ride in collaboration with Canberra Muscian’s Club we are holding a party called “CICLONUDISTA”. Come and see some of Canberra’s best bands and have a trial bodypaint. Five great bands (possibly playing less than fully clothed). Free body painting, licensed bar, freak and vintage bikes, clothing is optional, enjoying yourself is not.

The Identical Strangers are playing tonight at the Maram Club in Erindale.

…A meal from the bistro, a cleansing lager, a game of pool & some fine pubrock courtesy of the Strangers.

Sounds like the recipe for a fine Friday night to me.

The Amy Gillett Foundation is running Amy’s Ride for cyclists on Sunday morning:

Amy’s Ride provides the Amy Gillett Foundation with an opportunity to proliferate key messages of safe and responsible road use, increase awareness to the need for more shared respect, raise much needed funds and honor the memory of Amy.

The route goes from Parliament House around Parkes Way to Coppins Crossing, Uriarra Crossing, Cotter and up Cotter Rd/Adelaide Ave back to Parliament House. If you are out and about please be aware there will be a lot of cyclists around the traps – no doubt that will please some people more than others.

Tickets : $21
The Street Theatre

Examine Change, theoretical or otherwise.

March is seasonally and thematically a time of change, this will be reflected throughout “On The March”, with characters, themes and life choices influencing all change. The first half of the show will be the popular knock-out challenge audiences loved in ‘Bedroom Scenes’, while the second half will be a mystery. The format will only be given to the cast moments before the lights hit the stage, leaving nothing but a purely improvised show.

Be sure to book your tickets in advance for “On The March” to ensure you don’t miss out!
