So once again Thursday rolls around.

Now’s your chance to tell us what’s good to go see and do this weekend.

(for those lucky enough to not be locked in a deathmatch in the RiotACT boardroom)

There is a Speedway event on at goulburn tonight (Sat). Gates open at 3pm, racing from 5-10pm.

That Corolla sounds like just the thing for going down the horse paddock – so one can clean up after. I’m curious as to how it works.

Motorkahna is going to be huge. Fifthgear Motorsports is also running a ‘pay per session’ style skidpan day at the same time to help people fill in time and let people experience the pan if they haven’t already, it’s awesome fun.

Motorkahna runs from roughly 9am – 2pm or later. Entry to come and watch is free, so drop by and see the talent of some of the local ‘legal’ drivers…

There is one of the now-revered MG Car Club motorkhanas out at Sutton Road Driver Training Centre on Sunday, for those interested in all things automotive and motorsport.

I believe that it will be the competition debut of the Fullly Sink Corolla. Yes, that 1980 Corolla sedan, with a fully functional sink and faucet in the boot. It may not be fast, but it will be clean.

I hope to be able to provide photos post-event, for those interested.

jgangsta: while the large crowd at ANGB does seem to be handled well, the sudden change in numbers has taken the regulars by surprise. There is therefore an entirely understandable transition period while the old regulars get used to the new way of things.

VG, perhaps?

thought i might go down to the civic skatepark with a spray can and paint a mural.

anyone care to join me ?

The following in from Nic:

“Sailing the bare assed quinilith monkey that is Miguel Sanchez into the bootleg sessions for another round of drinking and sexual inuendo. The night kicks off with Jonathon Fisher 8pm

Simon London Interlude dude from WA

Fat One.”

That’s the Phoenix on Monday.

Matty Ellis mailed in to inform that Canberra’s most dog-friendly bar (and art gallery), the Front at Lyneham, is having a night of live music on Friday night from 7.30.

well its not exactly this week and it is not exactly in canberra but next thursday is Big Day Out featuring Tool, Muse and crystal method. After the let down of last years bdo (apart from mudvayne and henry rollins) this should be big.

at least we’ve got breakfast beers to look forward to at the meeting

i wish everybody would get over how crowded it is at the jazz. i got there a bit late and still found a spot for myself and mates and their kids. it was great. and getting out of the parking afterwards, a minor inconvenience sure but compared to Sydney…..if it wasn’t popular they wouldn’t hold it.

Perhaps they’re discussing how to apply che’s new comment-deletion powers so as not to offend potential paid advertisers?

There’s ANBG music again on Saturday night. “The Business” are playing.

I wonder if it will be less crowded at Sunday in the Park? Commonwealth Park, 4:30 til 7:30pm, free kids activities, and Trident playing jazz/funk.

locked in a deathmatch in the RiotACT boardroom

Oh do tell you tease.
