Clubpoker is No Limit Holdem… usually starting with $2000 (sometimes $3000) in chips, blinds increasing every 15mins. Occasionally they will run the odd Pot Limit Omaha… Its also a ‘self dealt’ game.. so instead of a dealer button, the dealing just gets passed around the table every hand. The rules are similar to Casino rules, as Clubpoker is run by Casino trained staff..

Its alot of fun – i suggest checking out the website and coming along one night. Just note some nights are free while others are like $5 to enter which then becomes the prize money at the end of the night.

Genie: what rules are used in those poker tournaments? no limit hold’em?

Tonight – Celebrate Black Friday at the Potbelly w/ The Chuffs, The Moots, Sister Scarlette, Stigmata and Dust. 8.30pm Fancy dress if you dare !

Canberra Marathon on Sunday morning – although anyone capable of actually running a marathon probably knows that! Also, if you are held up by the Marathon, try not to abuse the VOLUNTEERS.

In the local theatre stakes:

– Canberra Rep kicks off “Elizabeth Rex” – the evening before she executes her lover, Queen Elizabeth spends the evening with Shakespeare and his troupe of actors – who confront her with her own dangerous choices. Preview tonight at 8 ($22), then tomorrow night and Saturday ($33/$25 concession) – season runs til May 5th. Book on 6257 1950 or show up to Theatre 3, Ellery Crescent, Acton.

Plus Canberra Dramatics present “No Island is a Man” – a play about the impact of depression, Tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, then on to the 21st April. At the Tuggernong Arts Centre – call 6293 1443 to book – tickets are $24, $18 concession.

And Ickle Pickle’s production of “The Wizard of Oz” (yes, it’s pretty much the movie, but on stage, including dog) kicks off tomorrow night at 7pm, with two performances on Saturday at 2 and 7pm. Tickets are $26, $24 concession, at the Street theatre – call 6247 1223 for bookings.

And of course there is a Paintball Tournament this Sunday!
