Stomp, the night when Canberra’s social dancing scenes come together to raise money for charity, is on again this Saturday night at the Albert Hall, this time with a “Rio Carnaval” theme. The organisers are expecting a crowd of about 300, with dancers into Ceroc, Swing, Salsa, Rock ‘n Roll and probably a few others too.

Tickets are $20, funds raised go to CanTeen, more info here.

Yes, the Jester ball is on and I would be going except that my presence is required in Queensland for a family Mothers day thing.

The jester ball has it’s own myspace where it purports to be a 99 year old woman. It also has 964 friends, only some of which are spamming ringtones.

There’s also it’s own website.

Tonight (Thu) @ ANU. The Black Keys supported by Kill Devil Hills. Two finer bands you’d have to travel a long way to see. Highly recomended.

Jester Ball is finally on.. This Friday night. (details somewhere on the website)

Sat 12th Kaleen High’s Annual Carboot sale and Fete

SUMTHIN’ @ Toast with Mike Callander from Honkytonks & 3rd Class Club in Melbourne this Friday night for $5. With supports Dante (myself), evilchris, Jitwam Sinha and Deep Throat DJz, VJ mxmai. Doors open at 9pm, Mike starts at 1am.. if you know anything about Honkytonks, it’s been voted best bar in Australia and is reknowned for it’s eclectic crowd, music and cocktails. If you’re out at the Jester Ball, come out afterwards and be surprised…

History of Poster Art Exhibition at National Gallery, free entry. Final days Saturday and Sunday.
