Know about something good happening this weekend? How about something bad? How about something a bit of the naff side but fun nevertheless?

In any event if you know about an event on this weekend why not write about it in the comments so others can go too?

And yes…t’was a TOPS nite.

Cheers!

Don’t be so modest Thumper 🙂 – was good to see (and hear) a band where the guitarist is using an old Marshall *properly*. Were any other Rioters there?

Freshest Guiness in Canberra award goes to the Phoenix.

Great food, cruisey, layback tunes- this Saturday night @ Das Kapital, Narrabundah Shops. I’ll be there!

The Thredbo Jazz Festival is on this weekend. Weather report looks kinda cold though…

The Full Monty started last night with a huge responce by the audience. It was pleasing after alll the effort to see the show go down so well… and yes I am biased but it really did go over very well

Let’s see…I shall be seeking out at 21st present (anyone know what’s happened to that Miscellaneum jewellry store in the top of the Canberra Centre?), Brumbiesing and working (bah!). All highly exciting really.

Revolver is you Thumper, isn’t it? I’ll at the Phoenix on Saturday!

In the theatre stakes, as with last week, the logjam continues. There’s at least six productions running this week:

“Arcadia” continues at Theatre 3 (Canberra Rep).
“M Butterfly” continues at the Canberra Theatre Studio (Free Rain).
“Romeo and Juliet” continues at the Canberra Theatre playhouse (Bell Shakespeare).
“Tartuffe” finishes this weekend at the Street Theatre Studio (Centrepiece theatre).
“Antony and Cleopatra” continues at the ANU Arts centre (Moonlight).
And “The Full Monty” kicks off this week on the main stage of the Street theatre (Supa) productions).

Of these, I’ve only seen “Tartuffe” (which is well worth watching) – but I’d assume they’ve all got something worthwhile – at the very least, each of them has at least one actor I know who I’ve enjoyed watching in the past.

speaking of which thumper…. I caught your guys first set the other night… had to leave because my friends wanted to play pool… but it sounded really good from what I saw.. nice and tight, good harmonies going on… pity about the small crowd!! – were their any originals in that set.. there were a couple of songs which I didn’t recognise.. which I assumed were originals..
