Here we are again Rioters with a weekend hard upon us.

Aside from putting the clocks forward on Sunday what’s worth seeing and doing this weekend?

Just leave your thoughts in the comments.

BLUESTONE JUNCTION. Friday 1 October 2010 8pm @ The Harmonie German Club, Narrabundah.

Free

Got this in the in-box (and for what it is worth I’ve seen these blokes at The Folkie and they are the hottest bluegrass band around):

Dear Musical Compadres

Don’t miss one of Australia’s best bluegrass bands when they play one-night-only in Canberra this Friday night.

It’s FREE!! 🙂

Bluestone Junction hails from Melbourne but sounds just like Kentucky… Chris Jacobs is one of Australia’s leading bluegrass vocalists, and our very own local treasure Donal Baylor will be fiddlin’ up a storm…. add some smooth and haunting slide guitar by Pete Fidler, some shmokin’ hot banjer from Mick Harrison, and some rockingly rhythmical upright bass from Mike St Claire, and you’ve got a band you’d be crazy to miss.

The FELDONS

Thursday, 30/09/10

Cardboard Charlie and The Canberra Musicians Club present:
Domus Adultus @ The Phoenix!
@ The Phoenix Bar, East Row, Civic (bus interchange) Free from 9:00pm

This Week:
Beth’n’Ben 9:00
Meraki 10:00
The Feldons 11:00

Get your dose of Feldony love with their original mod/ psych/ blues at the Phoenix tonight.

See you there groovers….

Sat Night at The Basement – Combined CD launch for Johnny Roadkill and Sunset Riot

9pm – Jacobson’s Organ
10pm – Sunset Riot
11pm – Johnny Roadkill
12am – Flat Earth Confederacy

Don’t forget Daylight Saving starts this weekend. Put your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night. It officially starts at 2AM Sunday morning but if you don’t want to be an hour late for any Sunday appointments, best to take to the clocks on Saturday night to prepare for those lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer ahead.
