So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

— Pink Floyd, Time

On the bright side… It’s the weekend.

What’s worth seeing and doing around town?

Do you have a whip?

Take the kids to see the A Is For Animals exhibit at the Australian War Memorial. Only on for another couple of weeks.

More like a fedora. Now back on topic please.

Was it a pirate hat?

I saw a man with an awesome hat walk up to the ‘poster wall’ this morning at about 8am. He grabbed his mobile out and took a pic then walked away. Was that you Mr Johnboy? If so, love the hat! If not, you should get a groovy hat.

Why yes, that was probably me. Not a mobile though, it’s a dedicated camera.

Glad you liked the hat.

Computer Fair, Uni of Canberra recreation centre (off Ginninderra Drive), Saturday 10AM-3PM. Admission $3.00, kids free.

In response to Johnboy’s juxapositioning of existentialist crisis Pink Floyd lyrics against hedonistic weekend optimism, I’d like to offer the advice of one of my favourite writers:

“Always be yourself. Unless you suck.” Joss Whedon.
