As per usual the world has failed to come to an end.

On the bright side, you lucky lot don’t have to work for two days.

So what’s worth seeing and doing around town?

Yous all missed a grouse shindig at the Hellenic club last night. Screaming Jets did what it says on the tin and screamed for an hour and a bit. Not bad.

“Jacques Brel is Alive and Living in Paris” @ The Street Theatre.

It’s just wonderful.

Little Sister and Bec Fielding are playing at Hush Lounge’s Sunday Sessions from 2pm…

Apparently there’s a funrun around the arboretum on Sunday too.

The inaugural open day of the Arboretum sounds good. Sunday, 10am-3pm. Only a gold coin donation to get in and a third of money raised is donated to Carers ACT.

The 39 Steps ends its run at Canberra Theatre, although it looks like tickets are limited for the remaining few shows.

“Super Rad” event on Saturday night at Teatro Vivaldi from 10pm

The Sporting Shooters Association of the ACT is having an open day this Sunday the 15th.

Their range is at 50 Hector Grove, Majura.

As someone posted in an earlier thread even though it’s tonight, not the weekend.

Charity Auction for the Bushfire Appeal at the Canberra Irish Club, Parkinson St Weston, commences 6pm for auction start at 7pm Thursday 12 March.

Signed/Framed Raiders jumpers, Brumbies jumpers, Irish Rugby team jumpers, Olympic/Commonwealth Games memorabilia and more – over 30 items, from the bigger ticket items to the more affordable – something for everyone to bid for.

Drinks at bar prices and the Club is donating $1.00 to the Appeal for every drink sold.
