Now I know you’ve all been a little traumatised by this five day week thing.

But it’s nearly over now.

To recover, what’s worth seeing and doing around town this weekend?

Just leave your thoughts in the comments.

Fat chance getting accommodation this late in the game though…

Just to add to Les’ post, Festival 15 starts at 9pm. I’ve heard some stuff from one of the bands playing on the night, Knight Hammer, and its excellent. Its hard to define their sound, but if you like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Ronnie James Dio, with a little bit of Spinal Tap mixed in, you’ll enjoy their work. They won’t just get up there and go through the motions – there will be full costumes, artificial fog, outlandish stage presence, and some of the most outrageous, self-indulgent guitar solos ever witnessed. A good time is guaranteed. I believe they are first up on the bill, so get there early to witness the beginning of something special.

Tonight @ The Phoenix

Festival 15 @ the Basement is awesome!!! And believe me – I downladed their first four songs from Unearthed and loved it – they had a massive write up in the Canberra Times last year…looking forward to finally see them play live – the enigma’s that they are!!

Rise you mighty Knight!! Canberra’s in for a treat this weekend!!!

This got sent in to me:

Next Sunday morning (17 Oct) the Cashews are playing a querky wandering minstrel gig at a brilliant Greening Australia revegetation event, just beyond the Cotter. We’re already excited. Bring yer friends, plant some trees, ask us to play “Mountains” (promise we’ll oblige) or even better request a new song….we’ve got some!

All details are at http://www.greeningaustralia.org.au/uploads//Event%20pdfs/ACT_Spring_Fling_Planting.pdf
