Tonight at Llewellyn Hall a concert featuring the CYM Wind Symphony, ANU Brass Ensemble and ANU Staff Brass Ensemble playing works by Eric Ewazen, an American composer who will be palying piano (with the Wind symph at least). Plus the piece we’re playing (WS) is an Australian premiere. Tickets $15 from ANU Ticketing (at the school of music) open an hour before the concert (seats are first in best dressed).

And this weekend is the Canberra eisteddfod (they’ve got some other name for it but I don’t remember it). Friday night at West Belconnen Leagues club is the jazz groups (usually lots of fun), Saturday at Llewellyn Hall are Concert Bands and Sunday also at Llewellyn Hall are orchestras.
