A Jubilee Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend is upon us.

It’s too cold for the beach so what’s worth seeing and doing around Canberra this weekend?

Just leave your suggestions in the comments.

Had to dig this up just to comment on the statement that it’s too cold for the beach. Wrong, wrong, wrong. While I did wimp out on swimming for once, the sun was shining and it was possible to walk around without scarf and beanie and to enjoy totally uncrowded sand. Perfect for those who hate groups of any kind.

And Los Chavos are playing at Honkytonks tonight which should make for a cracking night.

From The Canberra Times:

At the Royal Military College, Duntroon for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend. On Saturday the Corps of Staff Cadets and the RMC Band are to Troop the Queen’s Colours at Gallipoli Reach on Rond Terrace at the southern end of Anzac Parade. It all starts at 10.15 and guests are advised to arrive a little early, bring a chair, a warm coat or blanket and be prepared to pray it won’t rain.

Speaking of the Crime and Misconduct Commission, I’ll be hosting a free music festival sponsored by the ACT Police. They will supply provisions from their evidence stores for the event…
