So, it is time again to put down in the comments what’s good to go around town this coming long weekend.

Already we know that Matty Ellis is playing the Polish Club in O’Connor, and Tom Woodward is doing three hours at the George Harcourt in on Saturday afternoon. Also I hear Indyfest is doing The Basement from early on Saturday morning to late, late, late at night in an orgy of rock and roll that venue was built to host.

So, what else then?

are barking toads and llama frogs opposites.

I would have thought just have barking toad on here is a bad enough pun?

I agree there is a lack of crass humour on here and is usually replaced with crass statements, but a banning now and then can help to keep the standards up.

Ban barking toad? I think not. He picks up the slack in the bad pun stakes when I’m not around. And Riot need more bad puns (even if JB, Jazz, Che and Kramer all disagree with me on that)

can we ban Barking Toad for the last comment.

The following fromMWest:

This Saturday (17th March) starting at 2pm there will be a charity ride, around Lake Burley Griffin to raise awareness of organ donation, in memory of a David Bland – a thriving 14 yr old boy who died tragically in 2006 and was one of only 4 child organ donors in Victoria that year. This event is an ACT counterpart of the David Bland Ride for Life being held in Melbourne. The ride starts at the mouth of Sullivan’s Creek (ANU side) and is heading clockwise around the lake. All are welcome to participate.

If you’d like to take part, please visit http://www.davidbland.com.au/ride.html to register and make a donation (also make a note that you’re riding in Canberra, and not in Melbourne). Wear an orange shirt if you have one. Please contact Dave Pretty via david.pretty@anu.edu.au so he knows you are coming so we don’t leave without you.

We hope you can participate in this important event and help raise awareness of the importance and benefits of organ donation, particularly amongst families and their children. For more information about organ donation, visit Australian’s Donate.

My bucks.
