I know it seems we’ve just put a heap of Local Event stories on the site but I’m sure there were a couple things we’ve missed. So why not let us know about them in the comments.

Capital Alternative: a show featuring Canberran and Sydney rock/alternative bands.

Blurb:

We here at Mudd Promotions think there are not enough “rock” shows in Canberra. Plenty of metal gigs happening, but nothing in the alternative/rock categories. Capital Alternative will hopefully squash that trend. Kicking off the night night will be local alternative/indie/rock outfit The Glaciers. After a very strong showing at Global Battle Of The Bands they were very unlucky to have not made the finals. Following them will be the highly anticipated return to the stage of the mighty All Guns Blazing. After spending the last 6 or so months locked away, refining their new sound with new singer, the guys are ready to unleash their balls out, hard rock awesomeness on everyone who cares to listen. Next up, an alternative/rock band that could very well be the next big thing in the Canberra music scene. Point Of View have been blowing crowds away here in Canberra and Sydney, and are not looking like slowing down anytime soon. Aktor, our guests from Sydney, will be 2nd last on the stage. These guys have a unique, heavy yet melodic sound that will draw you in, then grab you in a headlock and blow you away! Don’t miss the chance to see these guys. Is there anybody in Canberra who doesn’t like and appreciate the talents of Escape Syndrome? I highly doubt it. Fresh off their Mammal support, and about to drop their next EP, these guys are primed to blow away the crowd on their home turf. These guys always put on a show to remember so make sure you don’t miss it. After Escape Syndrome clear the stage, the house DJ will be spinning tunes well into the night. First band at 7.30, $10 at the door will get you in.
