Walk to Parliament
Sat 7th Nov
9am
North side of Commonwealth Bridge

We are now only one month away from the Copenhagen UN talks and tomorrow being the 7th of the month we will be taking part in our monthly Walk to Parliament. Join us as we walk to Capital Hill. We will also get to meet the Climate Justice Fasters who are going to be outside Parliament House from now until the end of the talks. I’m sure seeing us will give them great support as they start their journey.

If you want to join with us all please meet on the Civic side of Commonwealth Bridge at 9am tomorrow (Saturday), and wear red!

Let’s continue this year as we have done, by showing that this really is something important to us all.

Radford College Twilight fete; Saturday, 3 until 7pm. Great food, lots of stalls, entertainment, wine tasting, vegetarian food options, choirs, rock bands and the usual fete stuff.

Bernie Hayes (Gadflys, Shouties etc) is in town for an unexpected last minute gig – he’s now supporting Kevin Bennett (from The Flood) at his gig Friday (6 Nov) at the Polish White Eagle Club in Turner (opp O’Connor Shops). Was gonna be a good gig with KB but now with Bernie too…! Doors 7pm, music from 8pm, tix at the door.

Bernie Hayes.

I am comfortable in saying that he is the one of the best songwriters Canberra has ever produced.

South Ainslie Fete – Saturday during the day.

The “wine, roses, and all that jazz” festival is on this weekend. See the link below to find out which wineries are taking part this year. It’s a fun day out…and with glorious weather predicted, along with good food, good wine, roses, and jazz…what more could anyone ask for?
