Well somehow it’s gotten to more than halfway through Thursday and no one has noticed we don’t know what there is to do this weekend.

Better fix this quick smart and let everyone know your picks of this weekend’s events, entertainment and general goings on.

Tonight or tomorrow night?

ACT Civil Union Bill Celebration

After the historic Civil Union bill is passed in the ACT legislative
assembly, we will all deserve to have
a bit of fun and celebrate!

So come and celebrate. The party starts from 6pm at Cube

Thanks to everyone for their hard work in letter writing, making
submissions, organising rally’s and supporting the bill!!

Slim Pickens and Round John Virgin play the same old crap at the Phoenix. Friday, 5-7. Free.

Cabbage?
I wont be at John night, tho I will probably be in civic.
Hoping to climb Mt Majura saturday night and take some pictures from up there. Anyone knoe if theres any transient/derros/alcos up there at nights. Its a pretty hard treck and I would have thought this would dissuade them

I thought I smelled cabbage…

Sorry, Witches should read pagans. My bad.
Wheres the edit button johnboy? Sorry if I offended anyone

Witches full moon circle at John Night, Saturday night.More details here http://www.paganawareness.net.au/actfm.html.

PS If anyone sees a shady guy and a tripod out taking photos on saturday night, skulking around in the half light of a full moon, its probably me.

Do you know what time period it covers… ? AD loves religous art…

I hear that the Islamic Art exhibition at the NGA is free on Saturday (it normally costs something to get in).

In the theatre stakes, the logjam comes to an end..:

– “Arcadia” finishes off at Theater 3 – having seen it, it’s clever, funny, typically Stoppard and well worth catching)

– “M. Butterfly” finishes off at the Canberra Theatre Courtyard Studio (also well worth catching)

– “Antony and Cleopatra” finishes off at the ANU arts centre.

– “The Full Monty” continues at the Street Theatre (haven’t seen it yet, but apparently the best seats are the ones on the far edges of the theatre – the bright shiny lights they point at the audience don’t quite reach there, so you can see a lot more of the chaps that way … if you’re so inclined)

– “The Fantastiks” kicks off at the Belconnen Theatre.

And Ross Noble’s playing the Canberra Theatre tomorrow night.

Glass Army + The Guests. Pot Belly, Friday.

– Friday Dance with Amps at toast
– Saturday Barrel of Monkeys performing at Suicide Girls national convention (private function)… hopefully a feast of tattoo’d and peirced hotties.. though my GF will be there so best behaviour :)… weep
– Sunday Mothers day… This mothers day my mother will be burdened with my new found passion for painting… its all good though because mum will be expecting something weird from her horrendously weird son… that or nothink

watching the Brumbies march to glorious victory in Christchurch and Matt Dunning kicking a field goal to lose the Tahs chance of getting a home semi-final
in front of a tele somewhere, with beer
yay

Better not forget that its Mother’s Day on Sunday.
