Do you think they’re keeping him alive?

By johnboy - 14 October 2010 18

It’s been three weeks since our Chief of Men and Women, Jon Stanhope, put out a media release.

Katie Gallagher has been running the ACT ever since His Chiefliness departed.

This is unusual.

So is he already in a barrel at the bottom of a deep hole in the forest? Or do you think he’s locked away under armed guard at a remote TAMS facility?

Jon Stanhope is spending October 2010

Where’s the option that says he’s trying to convince Eddie Obeid and Joe Tripodi to let him keep his job?

BTW – even if some people might think it is a joke and you really didn’t mean for it to be taken as anything but a bad joke… it’s not really funny or acceptable to joke about someone being dead when they aren’t. If you have ever had a death in your family or lost someone you care about recently you would understand.

Lighten up a bit. I would doubt there isn’t a single contributor here who hasn’t lost someone sometime.

The subject of ‘The Chiefly One’ is a joke…………in more ways than one. Surely he’s not at…………dare I say it…………the DEEWR building???

I thought he usually runs 12-14 hours a day tackling tree thieves, saving drowners and avoiding accountability in tall bounds.

Seriously, though, I’ve heard rumours he’s on his way out. But I’ve heard those before.

G’day JohnBoy, the Chief is on a well-deserved period of leave with his family. His job usually runs 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week so it’s only fair that he occassionally gets a break to re-charge and spend time with his better half. I hope you agree that everyone deserves a rest at least a couple of times a year, especially if they work most weekends. I know my dear wife thinks I do and I’m sure she’s not the only spouse in Canberra who does. Regards.

+1 except I was never sad.

thought the barrels needed to be in ex-bank buildings, preferably in south australia; surely in a forest it is a shallow grave?

i just love the intrigue – far more enthralling than the actucal governance of the territory. i voted for ‘dead’ – imagine…

I hope so. But imagine the tanty he’ll chuck if he gets out.

Point is simple to work out, he shouldn’t come back.
