ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives have arrested a 23-year-old Reid man for the aggravated robbery at the Kaleen Caltex service station on August 24.

Around 8.30am today (September 13), police executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in Reid, following information submitted by an anonymous member of the community via Crime Stoppers.

During the warrant, police seized clothing and a mobile telephone belonging to the man.

Detective Superintendent Brett McCann from Criminal Investigations said this was a great result and demonstrated that even the smallest amount of information from the public can assist in an investigation.

“The importance of Crime Stoppers is again highlighted after an anonymous tip-off from a member of the community assisted police in making this arrest.

“We sought the community’s assistance in solving this crime, and a number of reports were received via Crime Stoppers, so we would like to thank the community for its help,” Detective Superintendent McCann said.

At the completion of the warrant, the 23-year-old was conveyed to the ACT Watch House. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with aggravated robbery.

Checking for evidence. Perhaps he was on crack?

Yep you’ve certainly got to the bottom of the problem.

He is using ACT Policing’s new digital restraining device.

Well it’s worked a treat coz he’s finally been fingered.

Something stinks about this case but I can’t quite put my finger on it…. or in it….

C’mon folks. It was a straighforward bust, but everybody seems to be getting a little anal about it.

Gotta love the innuendo but this post has really gone to the dogs man.

Is there any punishment more demeaning than being made the butt of cheeky puns on RA?

The arresting officer said he was a handful, but I don’t believe it.

lol, he had his hand down his pants.

Would have been easier to cuff the guy

When the Police asked the subject his age he refused to answer – so they’re checking his date.

Excellent. Now all that’s left is for Dogman to be fined for having his dog off lead in a public space.
