A 43-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Monday, May 7) after ACT Policing executed a search warrant on his Curtin residence last night.

The search warrant was executed in response to an incident on Saturday, May 5, where a Domino’s delivery driver was threatened with what appeared to be a handgun.

The alleged offender was arrested last night following a search warrant involving police from Criminal Investigations and Specialist Response and Security.

ACT Policing seized a number of items as evidence, including clothing and a replica handgun. A quantity of illicit substances believed to be cannabis, heroin and amphetamines was also found and seized.

The man was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with unauthorised possession or use of a prohibited firearm, possession of offensive weapon with intent, possession of drug of dependence and possession of prohibited substance.

What a complete dumbarse! Way to draw attention to yourself!

This was between 42 & 50 Throssell Street. Went past both on Saturday night when there were heaps of cars there for what seemed to be a party, and at dusk yesterday when there was a strange Police tactical response vehicle and lots of undercover cop cars there as well as a attentive copper on the verge keeping an eye on the street

Obviously drug-dealing ain’t paying what it used to, cant even afford a pizza… Damn you GFC!

I’m bidding for the brain-dead method of “I’ll get a pizza delivered, then threaten the driver”.

Does Domino’s pizza count as a prohibited substance or an offensive weapon?

Oh, has it been upgraded from Hazardous Waste, has it?

I like the way this guy thinks:
“I’ve got a stash of cannabis, heroin and amphetamines at home. I know what I’ll do – I’ll draw attention to myself by threatening a random road-user with my pretend handgun”.

If only more crims were so considerate and thoughtful about the limited resources available to “ACT Policing”.

Does Domino’s pizza count as a prohibited substance or an offensive weapon?

So the lesson here seems to be, if your going to threaten a pizza delivery driver with a replica handgun, make you you get rid of your stash first…
