Done on the Parkway

Driving home along the Parkway near the Woden Speed camera a few minutes ago, we were overtaken by an idiot in a burnt orange hoon mobile. It passed us fast enough to rock our car in it’s wake. The news that warms my black little heart is it was followed by a station wagon with the flashing blue and reds, pulling it over a few kays down the road.

Instant justice. Bye bye license, $1800 and maybe a job.

Muppet on Belco Way yesterday DROVE PAST TWO POLICE CARS with lights flashing that were parked up on the shoulder. Then he pulled up in the right lane at a red light; A short time later, one of the police cars pulled up in the left lane at the lights (3 lane road). Muppet then launched off the lights like he was attempting to reach escape velocity, only to be pulled over 100m down the road!

Clever boy!

This article seems appropriate, given that people never argue about this issue!

Relax, relax, people, turned out the cop was a mate of mine so I get to keep my licence and my $1800, do have to buy him a nice bottle of scotch though and ‘keep a low profile’.

The good news is though the beast and it’s triple carb set-up are working fine! WOOHOO!!!!

I read the headline for this story and thought it was going to be about Johnboy going for a drive with some fire-twirler…

that happened a few weeks back for us, but a red light instead. going along drakeford dr just before erindale dr traffic lights, dickhead goes through, realises after a nanosecond that it was red, stops in the middle of intersection, we try slowing down, he speeds up when he sees us coming, goes through the light…. all in front of a cop who was sitting waiting to turn right.

the system works…. sometimes.

as for the coast…. sheeeesh! its a wonder people dont die on that road every weekend.

Ohhhh….swwweeeetttt….I wish I was you…

I”ve had the same delicious experience only twice in over 30 years of driving, but the pleasure I experienced each time was a whole-body thing. So good that I remember each incident clearly, and the last time was on the way to the coast in 1998.

Speaking of which …(sorry…off topic) I drove back from the coast this arvo (Sunday), and the combined lunacy of people doing either 40 km/h under the limit or 40 km/h over the limit, tailgating at high speed on twisty narrow country roads, and overtaking on blind corners was simply astounding. I’m surprised we all made it back alive.

Completely agree. First drive down to the coast in years this weekend and absolutely nothing’s changed. There is ALWAYS the total dickhead who pulls out to overtake in a line of bumper to bumper traffic. Where the hell do you think you’re going?

And the same species of dickhead who pulls out from 10 cars back BEFORE the overtaking lane in an attempt to beat the whole line of traffic at once. What – you think the other 8 cars had no interest in overaking the caravan at the front?

I love it when some tool goes flying past only to be seen getting booked further down the road.

Equally satisfying is seeing them pulled over, bonnet up and smoke pouring out of their engine.

You’d almost hope the driver was over .05, just to ice the cake.

Ah, excellent!
Should be more of it.
Yep, police cars are far more effective and they don’t just look out for speedsters (I hope), I’ve lost count of the number of cars driving around with lights out or other defects.

Love it!!!! I always hope that thing like that happen when some knob head decides to do wAAAAAYYYY over the speed limit when I am driving anywhere.

Ah the joys of the rare police car on our roads, if only the Government would learn that these police cars are actually able to pick up all sorts of offences everywhere instead of a 50m section of a few roads. No doubt the lovely speed camera you went past would have picked up nothing as said driver jammed on his brakes and sped up immediately after passing it.
