The Chief Minister’s Export Awards are calling for nominations:

Medical services to Africa, films to China and Germany, watches to Europe and wine to the Caribbean.

These are just some of Canberra’s leading exporters, who will compete once again for the 2013 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards.

ACT Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr was joined by Mr Glenn Keys, Managing Director of Aspen Medical and Mr Ross MacDiarmid, CEO of the Australian National Mint at the launch of the Awards in Canberra this morning.

Canberra Business Council CEO Chris Faulks has encouraged local businesses to nominate for the Awards, which celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.

“Export is a 1.3 billion dollar industry in the ACT after growing at over 9% in the last financial year,” Ms Faulks said.

“By entering the export awards businesses can not only achieve recognition but it gives them a good opportunity to refine their export market strategy.”

You can apply online soon but not at the time of publication.
