ACT Policing arrested a man for an attempted aggravated robbery in North Lyneham last night (Wednesday 19 January).
Around 7.15pm yesterday a man entered a store in North Lyneham and threatened the owner with a knife. Despite repeated attempts by the owner to open the till she was unable to open it and the man left the store.
The owner of the store was not physically harmed but recognised the man as a frequent customer.
The 25-year-old man was arrested outside his home in Lyneham.
The alleged offender will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (January 20), charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

Perhaps he could save the men in blue and the rest of the community and flash a photo Id just before the big heist!
160 hours of community service and a six month suspended sentence for 6 counts of unregistered driving. I got 6 months jail for 1 count of unregistered driving 20 years ago. Magistrates are suckholes now days.
Talk about dumber and dumber!
