It seems Shane Rattenbury is giving Steve Doszpot the cold sholder, and Doszpot won’t have it.

Member for Molonglo Steve Doszpot has raised concerns about the parking situation at Yarralumla Shopping Centre after receiving a number of complaints from residents in the area. Mr Doszpot said he contacted the Minister for Territory and Municipal Services in February about the issue and in March received an interim response with a promise of consultation and action.

However, it is now four months later and there has still been no action.

“The main concern of residents of the area have is the car park is not safe due to a lack of visibility,” Mr Doszpot said.

“A simple solution to this problem would be to change the direction of the straight parking lines to diagonal lines.

“It is frustrating that Shane Rattenbury doesn’t find these issues to be a priority when they affect the everyday lives of many Canberrans.

“Not only is it dangerous for motorists, but the area is frequently used by pedestrians, many of whom are elderly, and their safety is being put at risk by this Minister’s lack of urgency to fix the situation.

“The Government continues to show a lack of consideration of local and basic services, so I’m calling on Shane Rattenbury to urgently address the concerns of the hundreds of Canberrans that use these parking facilities every day.

“We have a serious safety problem and a very simple solution, I can’t understand why the Minister won’t act,” Mr Doszpot concluded.

Doszpot is feeling left out Shane, and nobody likes to be excluded.

Look at the poor little guy!

Go on, invite him over.

The article about this in the chronicle had a reply from Rattenbury saying that RoadsACT is due to start consultation about the parking issue next month.
I certainly didn’t realise Doszpot had a background in car park planning.
