Drink Driving signs.. in your suburb.

“ACT governments attempt to save money, by putting up signs warning of police activity, rather than actually having any police activity?”

Those signs DID coincide with a RBT targeted blitz.

Targeted RBT does not just mean dozens of police on the roadside in a RBT station …… it means mobile RBT in marked and UNMARKED vehicles.

Just because you didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Some of the comments above are a little disappointing, and somewhat short sighted. I suppose the unmarked police vehicles needed to have those ultra bright RBT signs strapped to their roof and pulling cars over for people to notice !!!!

Last night as I went past and was thinking how dangerous it was – it’s like having high-beams in your face.

Drink driving = same
Accidents near signs = rising

have to say, the brightness of the signs on the parkway could be toned down a bit, I can read the water usage signs easily at night, but the new ones are far too bright.

The numbers of police i saw on saturday night was pretty low, both on the way to belconnen and back much later. But the amount of idiots on the parkway, weaving, braking and generally carrying on made me wonder whether they were drunk or just inherently stupid.

Far too bright. I couldn’t read the one I saw the other night because it was a blurry mess at a distance, and painfully bright when you got closer!

rbt on drakeford drive right now! The sign over hindmarsh will cause an accident because it is too bright….wait for a fog! LOL

There are plenty of doughnut shops in the Tuggeranong area.

It’s just another government ‘we can’t be bothered paying for new police so we will hire a nice LED sign for a few days to worry people’.
