A 30-year-old man from Googong, NSW, who was subject to bail conditions which included an 8 pm curfew and prevented him from driving will face court today (2 January 2023) charged in relation to a crash in Garran.

About 1:45 am on Sunday, 1 January, police observed a white Honda Civic sedan parked near the Mawson shops.

Upon sighting police, it is alleged the man drove off at a speed estimated to be 120km/h in the 60km/h zone up Heard Street, and then onto Mawson Drive.
