The AFP media unit have finally put out a media release (dated yesterday but only online after 9am this morning), on another amusing tale of police pursuit:
The red Holden Gemini failed to stop when signalled by police, driving through neighbouring suburbs, onto a grass oval, through the car park of the Lanyon Rugby Union Club and into parkland before coming to a stop.
Police then pursued the driver and passengers on foot, arresting the driver and one passenger. Both youths were found to be 15 years old.
The male driver will be summonsed on multiple charges including, exceeding the proscribed concentration of alcohol in blood (PCA), drive unlicensed, drive in a manner dangerous, failing to stop, failing to comply with police directions, and underage drinking.
What is the “proscribed concentration of alcohol in blood” in a 15 year old? And for that matter no charges for stealing the car? Hellooo Parents!
