TAMS have the extraordinary news that West Belconnen is going to look much nicer in twenty years:
The streets of Dunlop will be revamped throughout winter and spring this year with approximately 600 new trees to be planted in the suburb’s streets.
“Territory and Municipal Services recently undertook a comprehensive audit of street trees in Dunlop which identified those that require maintenance works as well as vacant sites for street tree planting,” Michael Brice, Manager of Urban Treescapes, said today.
“The audit found that there are 692 vacant sites suitable for planting on verges in the suburb of Dunlop. This is a significant gap in the suburb’s existing streetscapes.
“As part of TAMS’ winter and spring tree planting programs, work will commence in the coming weeks to plant approximately 600 new trees on verges in Dunlop. Over time this will help establish the streetscape, improve amenity, provide shade in summer and add value to adjacent homes.
