Heading out further afield from Civic the $10 lunch review has come across Duxton’s $10 lunch menu.

The choices were Margherita Pizza, Chicken Schnitty, Chicken Club Sandwich, Hamburger, or 300g steak.

I went for the club sandwich, the pint of Coopers pictured was an extra $8.

Leaving aside the hamburger bun for a club sandwich it was thoroughly enjoyable.

The bacon was plentiful, the chicken nicely seared, and the avocado was generous.

Sitting outside in the spring weather it was as delightful a lunch as one could hope to have.

For complicated reasons this story’s photo appeared to be Liberal Candidate for Ginninderra Matt Watts.

This website in no way suggests Matt Watts is in any way like a Chicken Club sandwich.

Any club that has that member in a sandwich is not a club I would want to order.

Or something like that.

Yes, it was a comment against Google’s lack of updates.

Well he was too chicken to answer my question about the Libs’ plans for CIT…

Whatever Google Maps does bad, Apple Maps can do worse.

Case in point, Duxton is apparently in a red roof house in Buderim Pl, Palmerston, across the road from Crace.

Not to mention the tardy Google Street View still showing All Bar Nun.

I was going to do a witty comment about it being a funny-looking glass of Coopers, but was too late.

And now it’s duelling banjos between Alan Jones and a chicken sandwich for most actively read story on the site!

Did you happen to see a Margherita passing by? If so, did it look nice? (That’s nice from a feeble vegetarian viewpoint, if you can imagine yourself in such a position.) Can you get salad instead of chips?

Oh Christ, it’d be easier to go myself.

Good photo of the plate and street. You should have an exhibition of beer photos.
