“E-scooter rider hit by car” What are the chances that the E-scooter rider didn’t contribute towards this incident?
Naturally, I hope the rider fully recovers, however, to me, this form of transport carries a high risk and I believe it us irresponsible for government to promote them as an environmentally attractive means of transport.

I wondered the same thing: “Hit by car”? or “failed to give way and rode straight out in front moving car”? But I disagree with your conclusion: it’s not irresponsible for the government to promote or endorse the use of mobility-scooters, it is irresponsible the way that many individuals choose to use them.

Second person hit at this location in less than a week. Both at a similar time of day.
Not sure what more can be done other than folks being more aware, but it’s getting pretty hairy out there.

Something to do with the selection of the species…..?

E Scooter riders should need private insurance to cover accidents and medical expenses.

What if the scooter rider was crossing the road legally and was hit by a red light runner?
