Coasters:
PM sent in the following suggestion for the Labor DVDs being posted out to electors:
- “As a way of recycling the unsolicited mail that is “Stanhope: The Movie” (coming to a letterbox near you), The Pot Belly is gladly accepting the DVDs and will use them as coasters.
It’s either that, or some very creative community-based public artwork.
So, come on down, enjoy a beer and make a difference to the environment this election. Ask for Joan or Matt.

Pangallo’s Queanbeyan mess
NarraGreenie has been in touch with proceedings out of Queanbeyan Council suggesting that Frank Pangallo’s renovations of a house in Gilmore Place, Queanbeyan, might have left behind an asbestos mess.

Costings:
The Canberra Times is giving Labor a booting over costing claims and counter claims.

Cycling
The CT has a bit on a bunch of the parties and their thoughts on cycle paths.
—
Mulcahy Canberra Party:
Richard Mulcahy’s mob have put a slew of their ads up on YouTube. Of particular interest though is the “Star Wars” ad.
We really, really, want to know if Richard is with the rebels or the empire. Your thoughts?

Liberals:
Zed and Steve are talking about “new opportunities for Multiculturalism in the ACT”. They’re going to cost an extra $328,000.
Zed is mocking the Chief Minister for claiming that housing affordability is making the ACT Government a “victim” of their own success.
The Liberals seem to make more TV ads than they do media releases or policy documents. They’ve now unleashed an attack on Jon Stanhope’s credibility.

Labor:
It’s a Green day in the Labor camp with a slew of announcements:
— More Help for Canberrans to Reduce Waste
— More Help for Canberrans to Save Water
— More Practical Solutions to Climate Change
— ACT Labor’s Commitment to a Greener Canberra
— $1M Pledge for Greening Australia’s Cotter Project
Mr Stanhope is also promising not to campaign or advertise through the football grand finals. One wonders if this has more to do with lack of funds and volunteer enthusiasm than any care for a weary public.
Mick Gentleman is speculating that a Liberal Government would flog off ACTION.
