The Liberals’ Jeremy Hanson is pointing out that ACT Health’s annual report is showing increasing wait times at the Emergency Department:

“Only 54 percent of urgent (category 3) patients are being seen within the clinically appropriate timeframe of thirty minutes 5 percent less than last year,” ACT Shadow Health Minister Jeremy Hanson said today.

“Only 49 per cent of semi-urgent (category 4) patients are being seen within the clinically appropriate timeframe of an hour 8 percent less than last year.

“Hospital’s most vulnerable patients are hardest hit by ACT Labor’s inability to manage emergency admissions, with a two-fold increase in the number of mental health patients waiting longer than eight hours for admission.

Katy Gallagher meanwhile is thrilled that she’s had ~400 hours of volunteer labour in the ED.

The Liberals criticizing Labor-How odd!!

And here’s me thinking that the job of the Opposition was to point out the failings of the incumbent government. Maybe they should be heaping praise on Katy and the gang for their stellar performance on roads, health, emergency response and affordable housing.

Isn’t it interesting that it’s very cool to bag the Libs, but when Labor gets bagged the standard defences are ‘whinging’ or “libs are worse’…
