Holt grass fire - now under control

UPDATE AT 3.32 PM:

The grass fire is now under control.

ACT Fire & Rescue resources are being released from the scene and being handed over to the ACT Rural Fire Service to dampen down the fire ground.

The fire is now at ADVICE level.

An out of control grass fire is burning in Holt with ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service currently responding.

The fire is burning at a moderate rate and is heading in an easterly direction towards the golf course.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at Watch and Act.

The fire is four hectares in size at this time and is out of control with 12 units on scene.

ESA warn that embers may be blown ahead of the fire which may cause spot fires close to the main fire.

The ESA advises to monitor the situation for any changes through local ACT media outlets, the ESA website, ESA Twitter account @ACT_ESA, ESA Facebook account @ACT Emergency Services Agency, the national version of the Fires Near Me mobile device App or by calling Access Canberra on 13 22 81.
