Encore pizza - Florey shops

I noticed a new pizza store called Encore opened at Florey shops about 5 weeks ago right next to Dominos. I thought it a little odd to open a pizza store right next door to supposedly the busiest Dominos store in the country.

I finally got around to trying them out today. Plenty of good quality, tasty toppings and a lovely sauce. Much, much tastier than the Dominos variety.

They have large pizzas for $5.90 which are probably slightly bigger than the offerings from Dominos. For the price and taste I can’t imagine a pizza that is better value.

I know where I’ll be going for pizza from now on. No, I have no interest in the company but thought they were worthy of a good plug due to the price, taste and great service I received.

Seeing as I started the thread, an update from my perspective. I’ve probably had pizza from Encore 20 times in the last 7 months. Everytime we’ve ordered it’s been ready on time and service has been very friendly. Whilst you can get nicer pizzas elsewhere, they are much more expensive than Encore.

Uno’s has now made it to Seoul! Only to 8200 km to pizza excellence 🙂

Cheap pizza yes but you get what you pay for, not the best pizza around and not really better than dominos most of the time. Try the pizza from regal charcoal chicken in Charnwood. *Cough* wear a stab proof vest *Cough*

Best pizzas lately- Pork Barrel cafe opposite OPH…Best Margarita I have had in a long while..

we have given them several goes and the last time we rang an hour before to say can we have a pick up time at lets say 5:10pm. We had three kids just picked up from daycare and when we got there at the said time, they hadn’t even made them let alone put them on. When my wife asked, she was abused by the shop staff. She asked to speak to the manager and he abused her as well and just said well… My wife complained to the area manager and we got a free 30 buck voucher from the jamo encore pizza. We will never go back there. Cant get it on time when given lots of notice and very rude staff and manager. Jamo was pretty good, but hey it was for free. It’s always good if its free but other then that, we will never go back!

This made me laugh! With a name like Stoned Wookie then I have no doubt everything tastes better for you. And you probably can’t afford the cab fare to come down to the Southern part of town to see what its really like so you have to sit on your porch with your cousins spittin in the barrel yelling abuse at the neighbours. LOL

VERY nice pizzas if you are after the fast food variety. Heaps better than Dominos, Pizza Hut or Eagle Boys and a cheap buy at $5.90. I am a convert.

My new favourite go to pizza place.
Love their 5.90 pizzas, and they deliver on their promised time too.

I’m not so sure about then at the moment. I reckon they have halved the amount of toppings they put on their pizzas compared to when they opened.

Before installing the panelling on their awning, they parked their trailer in front of Encore block out the shop, and at one stage put barriers to block of the driveway that goes to Encore. Have a photo of when they still had the trailer in front of Encore.

I find Encore a bit tastier than Dominos, not the greatest pizza but the best value for money.

Dominos must feel threatened by Encore, because they’ve installed massive paneling on their awning to prevent customers from seeing that Encore are just across the driveway.

I tried Encore last week, wasn’t overly impressed. The base was better than your standard Pizza Hut/Dominoes fare, but seemed more like bread than a crust. Too soft and doughy.

I tried Encore tonight. Quite nice. And cheap.

Nachos Pizza WTF?

I would have said it would make good business sense to open a rival pizza place next door with a similar approach (cheap, good value pizzas). Clearly the people like their pizza!

Agreed with all positive comments. The base they use is far superior to Dominos.
They were very smart opening right next store to the most popular Dominos in Australia. They will steal all its business if Dominos cannot miraculously lift its game.

I’m so glad someone else has mentioned Encore pizza – such a great alternative to Dominos. We’ve tried Pizza Capers – which was ok – but Encore is definitely a favourite with us now. Our favourite is the Nachos pizza – so yummy! The staff are also very friendly, which is a nice bonus.

I’m going to give them a go just coz they have a nachos pizza….. Mmmmm

Yep, good value to be had here. Far better quality and quantity than the opposition. We park in the Domino’s car park when we pickup and Domino’s is usually empty in comparison to Encore. They also seem to able to have it ready when they say it will be ready which is something the opposition has always stuggled with. Sure, they are not on par with say a Steve’s pizza (Steve’s Melba) but at $5.90 for a large, they are great value for my hungry teens.

I will have to give this a go based on this alone. Thanks for the review

Thanks, will give them a go one day 🙂
