ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery at Erindale McDonalds early this morning (Wednesday, September 28).
About 4.20am a man gained entry to the back of the store and ran through the store to the front door to let in a second offender. Both men were carrying large knives.
The men demanded money from the cash registers but the staff refused. The offenders ran from the store and left the area in a white Mazda Astina driven by a third offender.
Both offenders spoke with Australian accents, were wearing hoodies and had their faces covered. No one was injured during the incident.
Police ask anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
