ACT Policing executed a warrant in Evatt last night (Saturday, June 30) following warrants executed by NSW Police where they located items including firearms and drugs.
The investigation commenced several months ago and looked into the supply of methylamphetamine within the ACT. The initial investigation was a joint working partnership with NSW Police Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad (MEOCS).
Detectives from ACT Policing’s Drug Investigation Team commenced the search at the Evatt address around 7pm. During the search police located and seized several ounces of what is suspected to be cocaine, cannabis and methylamphetamine. Police also seized drug paraphernalia and an amount of property believed to be stolen.
A 27-year-old man and 22-year-old woman, who were present during the execution of the search warrant, were arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House. They will both appear in the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date charged with drug related offences.
