ACT Fire & Rescue currently on scene at a house fire on Kevin Street, Evatt.

Three fire pumpers and the Breathing Apparatus Unit are fighting the fire which is in the roof space.

No-one home at time of fire.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 12.35pm.

Update to follow.

ACT Fire & Rescue still fighting to control the fire in the roof space.

No neighbouring properties under threat.

ACT Fire & Rescue are entering the final phase of extinguishing the fire which is under control.

Fire has been contained to roof space only.

Fire has been extinguished.

Estimated $200,000 damage.

Some fire damage to the roof, with water and smoke damage to the three bedroom house.

Cause of fire to be investigated.

ACT Fire and Rescue firefighters rescued two dogs from the back yard during the blaze.
