It’s big. It’s exciting. It’s an entire day of fun for all families across Canberra so save the date!
Aeon Academy is hosting a massive open day on Saturday 24 November (10 am to 4 pm) to celebrate its 15th birthday. Aeon Academy is all about nurturing the creative spark in kids from 3 to 16 years of age, with unique and innovative before school, after school and school holiday programming. Enriching kids’ lives, by giving them the space and tools to engage in creative and active play and learning is what we’re all about.
The lineup of activities for the action-packed day include a fabulous dramatic adventure (Vala) tournament to raise funds for Freyja Christiansen and her fight against a rare and aggressive cancer. There will be art activities galore, including badge making and creating our famous cardboard go-carts. Live music will be by Scroggin, a local band made up of former teachers and students from Aeon Academy.
An art exhibition will be held, displaying fantastic ceramic work the students have made. It’s a bird theme featuring bird baths, bird houses and a dazzling array of awesome avian animalia.
At the 15th birthday bash, we’ll also announce the winners of the inaugural Aeon Academy Scholarship program, with scholarships being awarded to give lucky kids.
And a mega birthday event wouldn’t be a mega birthday event without a scrumptious cake.
