Australia Day in the Capital

Stage 88, Commonwealth Park
When:
26 January 2020, 10 am to 1 pm

This year, Canberra is celebrating Australia Day with a fundraising concert in Commonwealth Park, replacing the annual fireworks show along the lake.

This is an opportunity to raise funds for a number of charities supporting the bushfire recovery across Australia covering people, wildlife, fauna and mental health. All of these charities will all be at Commonwealth Park on the day.

Following the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony at 9 am at Rond Terrace, and RAAF flyover Lake Burley Griffin at 10:30 am, wander over to Stage 88 for the concert and festivities.

They will be supported by local act, Monica Moore.

There will also be amusement rides, a glitter bar and roving entertainers for the kids.

So bring a rug, enjoy a bite to eat, show your support for the bushfire recovery and enjoy the sweet sounds of the lovely performers.
