Chase the Sun has roots planted in the blues scene, but have been letting a love of rock and roll fully hang out since forming in 2007. Crowd favourites at festivals all over the country, Chase the Sun infuses blues with loud guitar, blazing hard funk and a cranking 70s’ southern rock feel.
Chase the Sun features the powerhouse delivery and soul-tinged song writing of guitarist Jan Rynsaardt, combined with elements of acoustic blues, stoner rock psychedelia and Stevie Ray Vaughan boogie – the 3 band members crank out their own take on a classic sound.
The band will be performing an opening half hour set at 2 pm, followed by jam sets with some of the finest musicians in Canberra and the region. Then, at 5.30 pm, Chase the Sun will return to the stage for a full hour to rock your socks off!
