There are plenty of celebrations taking place this Christmas, and the National Arboretum’s plans are no less extravagant.
Eat, Drink, Shop is the National Arboretum’s special one-off Christmas, featuring late night shopping, delicious food and drinks complete with spectacular sunset panoramic views across Canberra.
Local DJ, Rawson will be spinning tunes to suit all tastes, including upbeat and laidback contemporary music, while you enjoy a festive feast with a choice of crispy Atlantic salmon, organic sumac spiced chicken, fetta-filled zucchini flowers and of course, a traditional turkey roast among many other options.
A two-course meal will set you back $39p.p. You can book at the Conservatory Restaurant online, or call 6130 0173 (no bookings required for casual share platters).
If you’re stuck for Christmas gift ideas, you can enjoy a 10 percent discount at The Curatoreum Gift Shop where you’ll find a wonderful selection of homewares, jewellery, children’s activities, handbags, books, paper goods, gardening accessories and boutique skincare products.
You can also try your hand at decorating your own gingerbread and creating a Christmas card with Megalo Print Studio.
And don’t worry about having to wrap your Christmas presents at home – free gift wrapping will be available after 4 pm, as will free parking!
Eat, Drink, Shop – 13 December at the National Arboretum from 5 -9 pm. Don’t miss out!
