PJ Junior and The Soul Pimps is one of the freshest new Soul/Rnb/Blues bands in Australia. The group has been performing around Canberra and NSW for the last three years, featuring at The National Press Club, The Living Green Festival, Canberra Institute of Technology Live Recordings, Smiths Bookshop, The Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival and The Phoenix Bar.
Aron Lyon (guitar), Kay Chinnery (drums), Damien Slingsby (vocals/keyboard) and James Luke (bass) are all graduates and tutors from the ANU School Of Music. They are all professional musicians who make their living from music. Having performed and toured with some of the biggest artists in the world, including Jimmy Barnes, George Benson, Owen Campbell and many more, and at some of the biggest venues in the world such as The Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Entertainments Centre, The Byron Bay Blues Festival and The Glastonbury Festival.
