GRAPES OF MIRTH RETURNS TO CANBERRA!

FIVE OF AUSTRALIA’S BEST COMEDIANS AND YOUR HOST MERRICK WATTS WILL MAKE THEIR WAY TO PIALLIGO ESTATE FOR 6 HOURS OF COMEDY, MUSIC, WINE, GOURMET GRUB AND THE MOST AMAZING FESTIVAL VIBES.

View their website for more info and buy tickets.

TOM BALLARD – An award-winning stand-up comedian/actor/writer/broadcaster/person who always gives 100%. He’s one of Australia’s hottest comic talents, he’s performed and won acclaim all around the world; Edinburgh, Montreal, London, and he even once roast-battled Jimmy Carr and didn’t die in the process. His list of awards are many and extensive and include the Helpmann Award for Best Show and the Pinder Prize, both at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

BECKY LUCAS – Writer, performer and rat Becky Lucas is one of most exciting voices on the Australian comedy scene and is commanding worldwide attention. Becky has spent years writing and performing stand-up and in the last year alone has performed her solo show at the Sydney Opera House, made her US TV debut on Conan and performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Montreal Festival.

NICK CODY – Stand-up Comedian. Radio Presenter. Actor. Beer Ambassador. Idiot. Nick Cody’s style of easy-going comedy sees him consistently selling out shows and over-achieving his way around the globe. He has become a regular fixture on TV, as well as being heard by listeners daily on the Triple M BIG Breakfast show! From the Edinburgh Fringe, Soho Theatre in London, Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, as well as the New York Comedy Festival & Johannesburg Comedy Festival; he’s covered the globe!

NIKKI BRITTON – Nikki started out as an actor and exploded onto the comedy scene in 2011 with her warm, lightning-paced style, that has subsequently seen her appear on the Melbourne Comedy Festival Oxfam Gala, ABC’s Comedy Up Late and on The Comedy Channel as part of the Just For Laughs Festival. You may have also seen Nikki playing the scene-stealing Marlo on Peter Helliar’s How to Stay Married on Network 10, feature in Matt Okine’s The Other Guy and star in the Screen Australia web-series Sheila’s.

MERRICK WATTS – The “Merric” from Merrick and Rosso. Mez, as he is affectionately known, has worked at almost every radio and TV station in the country. He also appears regularly on ‘Studio 10’ where he often ruins their infomercials and cooking segments. Mez loves wine, he also loves writing about himself in the 3rd person!

With ONE MORE SURPRISE COMEDIAN to be announced soon!

Grapes of Mirth provides the ultimate festival day with five headline comedy sets, a host with the most, and some sweet DJ tunes (brought to you by the one and only, DJ PEDRO MOSHMAN!) to keep you entertained before, between, and after the comedy has ended.

This is an 18+ event, because there are comedians involved, and well, because there are comedians involved.
