2022 marks a special year for The National, not only because it is the return of the festival, but also because we celebrate 55 years since our first event and 30 years of calling Canberra home. Photo: National Folk Festival.

The National Folk Festival has returned for another year, for the Easter long weekend 2022.

Over 5 days, audiences will get to see their favourite folk legends with over 200 bands & artists performing across 12 stages + spoken word, sessions, dancing, food, circus, street performers, workshops, kid’s program & heaps more.

This year is set to have one of the most impressive line-ups in the event’s history with 35 ARIA Award winners, an ARIA Hall of Fame winner AND APRA Hall of Fame winner, 12 Deadly Award winners, 5 Golden Guitar Award winners, 3 Australian Folk Award winners, 1 2020 GRAMMY nominee, 5 2021 Australian Folk Award nominees, 5 2021 ARIA Award nominees and 2 2022 AMP award nominees.
