Take a virtual tour through the National Gallery with a curator. Drawing connections between cultures, the thematic approach to the Asian Art displays brings together a variety of perspectives on people, nature, time and devotion.

Curriculum links:

Learning area: Visual arts – explore ideas practices and techniques used by artists; analyse how artists use visual conventions; identify features and purposes of artworks to explore viewpoints.

Languages – participating in intercultural exchange… and considering how interaction shapes communication and identity; analysing and understanding the role of language and culture in the exchange of meaning.

Cross-curriculum priority: Asia and Australia’s relationship with Asia

General capabilities: critical and creative thinking, intercultural understanding

This program will address the following Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Standards:

This Professional learning session is Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) Accredited.
