Roller derby action is back in the nation’s capital on September 10 when the Surly Griffins line up against the Brindabelters in Game 5 of your Canberra Roller Derby League’s 2016 home season.

After a loss in their first game of the season, the Griffs came out fast and hard against the Black ’n’ Blue Belles. The Griffs doubled the Belles’ score in the first half and again in the second half despite some determined defence by the Belles, and the Griffs will be looking to repeat their performance against the Belters.

The Belters met the Red Bellied Black Hearts in Game 4. Despite the Black Hearts looking like they were about the walk away with the win early in the first half, the Belters produced some ferocious play to narrow the margin. The Belters’ pack made the Black Hearts earn every point in the second half, with the Hearts winning by the smallest margin of the home season so far. The Belters will be looking to go one better against the Griffs.

So come and join us trackside for some fantastic derby action!

Check out all the action at Southern Cross Stadium in Tuggeranong. Doors open at 6pm, first whistle at 6.30pm.

Tickets are available through Moshtix and on the door. For more information about Canberra Roller Derby League visit www.canberrarollerderbyleague.com
