Returning to Australia for the first time since their sold-out tour of 2019, the award-winning entertainment podcast The Allusionist is back with an all new stage show ‘Your Name Here’. The show’s linguistic pincers get stuck into words that come from people’s names: eponyms. Eponyms find themselves all over menus, hats, exercise manoeuvres, streets, towns, measurements, flowers, space, guns, diseases… Sometimes they’re an honour, sometimes they’re an insult, but they’re always a good story. Join host Helen Zaltzman and musician Martin Austwick for a fun, fascinating and irreverent adventure into the chaotic world of words.
Helen Zaltzman is a multiple award-winning podcast host and producer. Her linguistics podcast The Allusionist has won multiple awards and the live theatrical spin-off has appeared on stages around the world. She is a regular guest.
Martin Austwick is a podcaster, musician and singer-songwriter, and has released albums as Pale Bird. He has performed music live for The Allusionist, 99% Invisible, The Bugle, and the Third Coast International Audio Awards, and contributed music for a number of podcasts.
