Every child gets to be a minister!

Chief Minister Gallagher has sent forth alarming news that she’s expanding the ACT Ministry to 9.

Chief Minister, Katy Gallagher, today introduced a bill into the Legislative Assembly that will, if passed, allow for up to nine ministers to be appointed as part of the ACT executive.

“This legislation is designed to meet the needs of our growing community by increasing the numbers of ministers to better serve the community whilst also allowing for improved management of ministerial workloads,” the Chief Minister said.

“Now is the time to act and to create greater flexibility for future governments and while this bill would allow for up to nine ministers, the appropriate number for appointment would be left to the Chief Minister of the day.”

Considering her Government has but 9 MLAs and precious chance of getting more one thinks we’re going to need a larger Legislative Assembly (we probably do, not so sold on 9 ministers for the ACT though).

Minister for Everything, master of none doesn’t work so well.

None of them are competent. That’s the problem. We don’t need more ministers, we need competent ones

Any suggestions?

None of them IS competent?

What do we need with more ministers? The current ones can’t even get the basics right like improving education and health

Maybe they won’t be spread so thin? especially the more competent ones.

It has to happen. So does the larger Assembly size. The Liberals know it too, but won’t commit to it because they want to gauge whether they can ramp it up as a political issue. Knife>nose>face.

Look, they can all call themselves Minister if they like, as long as we don’t have to pay them any more. Or if they do get extra pay, we take the amount the Five are now being paid and divide it by nine instead. They are “sharing the (same) workload” after all, ostensibly the reason why they need more ministers.

How about they all take a pay cut for being so f**king useless. Monkeys flinging poop what do a better job then these delinquents

Meh; Tasmania and the Northern Territory have nine, what’s the problem?

It’s like they are deliberately trying to antagonise us.
